Join us for a welcoming and inclusive morning of birding at beautiful Point No Point! This field trip is part of our Let’s Go Birding Together (LGBT) initiative, which fosters a safe and supportive space for everyone in our community—especially those who identify as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and individuals with disabilities. We are also happy to have the support of the Queer Elders Family Group at the Bainbridge Senior/Community Center in bringing our diverse birding community together for this outing.
Point No Point offers outstanding views of Puget Sound and is a fantastic location for spotting seabirds, waterfowl, loons, grebes, and early spring migrants. We’ll explore at a relaxed pace, focusing on shared learning, connection, and the joy of being outdoors together. All experience levels are welcome, whether you’re brand new to birding or have years of birding under your belt!
Accessibility: The area includes relatively flat beach access and open shoreline viewing, though surfaces may be uneven in places. Please dress for March weather conditions (layers are your friend!) and bring binoculars if you have them—a limited number may be available to borrow.
Our goal is to make birding accessible, comfortable, and enjoyable for all. Diverse perspectives enrich our appreciation of the natural world, and we’re excited to explore the shoreline with you!
