The Seabird Institute advances hemispheric conservation action for seabirds through cutting-edge science and habitat stewardship, initiatives to engage and educate a diverse community of advocates, and support of ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡â€™s coastal and marine conservation policy leadership. Over 50 years since the successful restoration of Atlantic Puffins along Maine’s coast, the Seabird Institute builds on the legacy of Project Puffin by advancing the technology of seabird science to not only restore seabird colonies but also bring seabirds into conversations around marine spatial planning for renewable energy and identification of marine area hotspots for the seabirds in the ocean.
