Meghan Ryan is the Director of Natural Climate Solutions Strategy for the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, where she guides ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡â€™s work to scale conservation actions that store carbon in nature and mitigate climate change.
Prior to joining ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, Meghan spent over a decade advancing sustainability and climate action in the private sector. She served as Executive Director of Responsible Sourcing at The Estée Lauder Companies, where she implemented the company’s global responsible sourcing strategy. At PepsiCo, she was Director of Global Sustainable Agriculture, leading sustainable agriculture programs across international markets. Earlier, as Associate Director at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility), she advised leading companies in the food & beverage, fashion, technology, and financial services industries on innovative approaches to climate action and supply chain sustainability.
Meghan began her career in sustainable food systems, collaborating with farmers, chefs, and educators through roles at the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture and Cornell Cooperative Extension.
She holds an MBA in Sustainability from Bard College and dual B.A. degrees in Biology and Anthropology from Williams College. She is an alumna of the International Honors Program in Indigenous Perspectives, through which she traveled and lived in homestay with Indigenous communities in the Navajo Nation, India, New Zealand, and Mexico.
Today, Meghan lives in New York’s Hudson Valley, where she appreciates the region’s rich agricultural and environmental heritage. She is delighted to live within 20 miles of three ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ sanctuaries and spends her free time birdwatching, gardening, cooking, and enjoying the company of family and friends.
