About

Lewis Grove joined ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Vermont in 2026 as the Conservation Policy Manager. In his role, Lewis works with numerous stakeholders, partners, local chapters, and members to advocate for birds throughout Vermont. Prior to his policy work, Lewis worked on field ornithology projects across the United States for the Cornell Lab or Ornithology, National Park Service, United States Geological Survey, Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, Powdermill Avian Research Center, Penn State University, and more. Immediately prior to joining ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Vermont, Lewis served as Director of Wind and Energy Policy at American Bird Conservancy where he advocated for bird conservation on energy projects throughout the western hemisphere. Lewis also serves as the local Christmas Bird Count compiler and eBird reviewer. Lewis lives in Huntington with his wife Megan and enjoys birding, hiking, gardening, and cooking.
