About

Juliana Gomez joins ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Southwest as the Senior Education Coordinator at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Center.

She grew up in a coastal town in New York where she gained an appreciation for wildlife and their habitats. Juliana attended the University at Buffalo, receiving a degree in Environmental Studies, where she learned how to apply environmental practices into informal teaching.

Juliana has over five years of experience facilitating engaging STEM experiences for all ages. She has a passion for providing hands-on experiences and learning in informal environments.

In her free time, Juliana can be found outdoors hiking, admiring every sunset, and finding any water to swim in around Arizona. She is still new to all the desert species, however, so far her favorite bird is the Greater Roadrunner.
