About

Jake has been with ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ since 2020. As Education Manager, he manages a small but MIGHTY team that leads environmental education for students of all ages, public programming for people to build their own relationships with nature, community outreach to strengthen ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡â€™s presence and relationships, volunteer efforts to enhance our community building, and habitat restoration and management of TRAC’s property and beyond.

Before joining the Flock, Jake was a Park Ranger for the National Park Service at Gateway National Recreation Area, Park Ranger for South Carolina State Parks, and a Lead Interpreter for Texas Parks and Wildlife. He earned his bachelor’s at Kean University in New Jersey where he is from and hails from the Pine Barrens of South Jersey. When he is not birding at work, he loves to go birding on his days off, look for reptiles/amphibians, work on his prairie at home with his wife and two dogs, and loves to try new recipes in the kitchen.
